2014 Trends - My Predictions♡

Hey, sorry I haven't done a post in a few weeks, I've been really busy. I know its a bit late but - Happy Holidays! I hope you got everything you wanted. So this post is going to be 'Up-coming trends for 2014,' and these are just things that I've read about, and things that I think we'll be seeing a lot of this year.

  • Nails ; I'm thinking matte nails with glossy french tips. Try Barry M Classic Matte Polishes in Expresso. White will be making a classy come back on nails and especially toes, as seen on the Kardashians and Jenners. My favourite white is Topshop's Spilled Milk. Theres nothing like a pretty pale pink on your nails and toes. I predict that nude toenails will be big - mix it up by using a matte nude instead of the usual glossy. Try Barry M matte nail paint in Vanilla.
  • Lips ; Recently I've been LOVING gothic lips so I bought MAC Diva, which is a dark matte burgundy. Purple lips were first spotted on the fall/winter 2013-2014 fashion week runways, predominantly at Fendi, Lanvin and Miu Miu.
  • Hair ; I've always loved a braid, the old fashioned, Rapunzel-style plait running down your back. I've noticed more and more girls plaiting their hair, maybe down to the Hunger Games hype, in which the teen heroine, Katniss (played by the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence) lives in a dystopian world in which children are placed into a 'fight to the death' competition. Throughout the movie, Katniss' hair is worn in a intricate plait.
  • Face ; At this time of year I tend to use a mattifying foundation with a thick day cream underneath to protect my skin during this colder period. 'No Make up' make up; that gorgeous, sun kissed, dewy skin with the unkempt brows and a creamy lip for when the weathers that little bit warmer. I'm thinking matte skin for the fall/winter, and glossy covergirl skin during the spring and summer. Thicker eyebrows are still on the runway - take your inspiration from Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins.

Thats the end of my beauty predictions for 2014. I hope you enjoyed this post!
